Full Stack Web Developer

What This Job is About: Brightline Interactive is seeking a full stack web developer to build and manage tools using web technologies. This developer must maintain working knowledge of Brightline’s microsites, game servers, and React Native mobile apps to be able to debug and support them, and develop new ones.

The expectation is that the candidate would be a creative problem solver, leader, collaborator/ team player and an individual that is passionate about joining a unique and fast paced company.

This position reports directly to the Chief Creative Technology Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities: – 2 to 4 years experience as a full stack developer (or relevant domain knowledge) – 1 to 2 years experience in IT & systems management (or relevant domain knowledge) – Programming: – Building database-backed responsive microsites – Building/customizing content sharing systems – Web API integration using NodeJS – Building game servers (socket.io/express) – Building simple mobile apps using React Native – Internal and cloud linux server management, updates and security – Onsite installs – this is a key part of the job, and a key perk, but isn’t for everyone – Testing and QA – IT & Systems Management: – Hardware and system configuration for kiosks – Staging production AV equipment – Setting up our office systems for client demos – Internal and cloud system management – Key Skills: – Javascript/ECMAScript – NodeJS – React Native – Electron – CouchDB – Basic PHP/Wordpress – Basic Linux System Administration – AWS – SES, EC2, Route 53, RDS – Git
